Smith Baptist Association
It’s that time again. To ease the ACP process, we want to make you aware of another change. This change is for the better! We have condensed the amount of information that we require from you this year. In previous years we have asked for information that we no longer need in our office. This year’s Annual Church Profile is a one-page front and back document.
We ask that you complete the information and return it to our office by October 30, 2023. By adhering to this deadline, Paula will have time to enter the data into the SBC workspace before our required deadline of November 30, 2023. If you prefer to enter it yourself, here is the login page - SBC Workspace Login. You will need your SBA ID and password. Paula has a listing of your ID numbers. If you have trouble, just send it to her and she will input your information. You can save the document as a PDF and email it to Paula at paula@smithbaptist.org
Remember that this is a historical document. If you don’t complete the ACP, the 2023 history of your church will forever be lost. Let’s be good stewards and record the data for future generations to see how with God’s help, your church survived through the trials of the covid years and beyond.
If you were not able to attend the conference on Saturday, Sept. 16th, here is the link to access the materials used in the leadership conferences. Scroll down past the calendar dates to the Training Materials.

This is Michael Williams, Lay Leader, from South Spring Baptist Church. We are putting together a Disaster Relief, Asset Protection Unit including church members from the Tyler area. This is a team that helps support the Texas Baptist Men during disaster relief efforts. The specific purpose of the Asset Protection Unit is to provide awareness of people in need at the site of a disaster. And to monitor the disaster relief volunteer resources.
If interested you will need to go to https://www.tbmtx.org/tbm-disaster-relief-orientation-registration to register, get a background check, cost is $30.00, and to watch the 17 minute orientation video. South Spring Baptist Church will host the required Asset Protection Unit training on April 15th in the Grade School Building from 10am-2pm. Lunch is provided.
An RSVP is required and we currently have 10 of our maximum 20 trainee participants still available.
May I schedule a phone call to provide more information about this inter-church ministry opportunity?
My contact information is 903-360-3899.
