1-3-23 Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Tyler is seeking a Part-time Worship Minister. The worship minister will lead, promote, and oversee the worship ministry of PHBC. This includes recruiting and leading volunteers, planning worship services, leading rehearsals, and leading corporate worship. This position fills a very critical role in the overall function of PHBC.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Be an active member of PHBC and able to affirm the statement of faith.
•Continue to grow and mature in Christ as a godly person of integrity. Strong sense of calling and identity in Christ. Demonstrated leadership in being able to disciple those in his sphere of influence.
•Participate in weekly staff meetings.
•Be present in the office at least one full workday per week.
•Intentionally grow the worship ministry by consistently including new people in the regular function of the ministry.
•Make all preparations for rehearsals and worship services.
• Regularly support and participate in all areas of ministry at PHBC, including consistent attendance in Bible studies, regularly scheduled events and special activities.
•This position entails approximately 15 hours per week of work, including office hours, preparation, rehearsals and worship.
•Lead their family/household to be an active part of PHBC.

Primary Purpose

o Communicate clear expectations and job responsibilities
o Recruit and train Recreation Center volunteers

o Hold Recreation staff meetings
· Be creative and try new recreational activities
· Seek out means of personal and professional development: conferences, meetings with other ministers, personal accountability, etc.
· Manage the Recreation Center Facility

o Communicate with Facilities Manager any needs that may arise
o Assist in church vehicle and Recreation Center facilities reservations/usage as needed
· Organize sports camps and other recreation events
o Recruit, equip and train coaches

· Ensure that recreation social media and Starters Basketball website are current
· Manage Church Vehicles
o Keep vehicles clean and make sure they have adequate fuel
o Schedule use of all vehicles and store keys
o Communicate any needs for service or repairs with the Facilities Manager
· Be present and assist with coordinating Sunday morning greeters
· Work alongside and assist other ministries of FBC
· Engage with other community organizations and ministries
· Perform other duties as assigned
Accountability:
Director of Recreation Ministries will report to the Minister of Missions and Outreach and will be evaluated annually on this job description.
