Children’s Minister, 

Job Description

Principle Function: Supports the mission and vision of the church by managing and 

directing all aspects of Children’s Ministry (birth through 5th grade) including Sunday & 

Wednesday Activities, Special Events and Vacation Bible School.

Minimum Qualifications

• Highly motivated and called to serve as a Children’s Minister

• Highly knowledgeable and skilled to coordinate all aspects of children’s ministry

• Effectively communicate with children, volunteers, staff and parents

• Highly energetic, self-starter with excellent organizational and management skills

• Demonstrates and models a servant leader’s heart in cooperation with others

• Participate as a supporting member of MCBC

Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent

Specific Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and manage all aspects of the children’s ministry at MCBC

• Recruit, train, manage, encourage and support all children’s ministry volunteers 

and paid workers

• Supply, when needed, as a substitute teacher for Sunday Morning Bible Studies

• Prepare and manage children’s ministry budget(s), curriculum and supplies

• Work with Sunday School Director to research and select S.S. curriculum

• Plan, participate and support all children’s ministry activities, including but not 

limited to weekly activities, VBS, Kid’s Camp and other special events

• Develop a promotional plan to communicate children’s ministry activities

• Participate in church-wide activities

• Participate in outreach communication efforts to families with children

• Communicate effectively with Pastor and staff

• Attend ministerial staff meetings

• All other duties as assigned by the Pastor

Wages/Hours

• Will receive a salary based on 20 hours per week

• Vacation/time away as agreed upon by Pastor

2-24-26 The Woods Baptist Church is seeking a Part-Time Ministry Assistant. The Woods Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 am–3:00 pm (20 hours per week) Reports To: Pastor  

Position Overview:   The Woods Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Ministry Assistant to support the pastoral staff and help ensure the day-to-day ministries of the church run smoothly. This role provides administrative, logistical, and communication support while helping the church stay organized, connected, and engaged in our community. The Woods Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making disciples who love Jesus and live on mission. The ideal candidate for this role is organized, dependable, people-oriented, and eager to serve in a supportive ministry role within the local church.  

Key Responsibilities Pastoral & Staff Support :   • Assist with the pastor's calendar and scheduling • Prepare documents, materials, and resources for meetings and ministry needs • Handle basic correspondence, phone calls, and follow-up during office hours • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for the church office • Provide logistical support for weddings, funerals, and special services as needed Ministry Operations • Help coordinate the church-wide calendar and assist with facility scheduling • Support ministry leaders with basic logistics and communication • Assist with planning and executing church events • Help order and manage supplies and ministry resources • Support Sunday service logistics and volunteer coordination as needed • Assist in maintaining church databases and records Outreach & Engagement • Assist with the logistics of outreach and community events • Help coordinate volunteers for outreach efforts • Support church communication systems (email, website, social media support as needed) • Create simple graphics using Canva for announcements and events • Assist with promoting church events internally and externally • Help track participation and follow-up from outreach and events Qualifications • A committed Christian who is theologically aligned with the mission and values of The Woods Baptist Church • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks • Comfortable working with both people and systems • Strong communication skills • Flexible, proactive, and servant-hearted • Able to handle sensitive information with discretion • Proficiency with Canva and basic computer and office tools.  

Compensation $15 per hour

6-29-26 Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Tyler is seeking a Minister of Worship

Principle Function: The Minister of Worship will serve as a ministerial staff member, focused on leading and overseeing the music and worship ministries.

Staff Relationship:  Reports to Senior Pastor

Position Type:  Versatile candidate with the potential for up to full-time hours based on capability of varying roles. (i.e. worship plus: communications, missions, senior adult ministry, etc)

Minister of Worship Responsibilities & Skills:

1. Possess an active and growing personal & prayerful relationship with Jesus Christ

2. Serve the LORD through serving His bride at PHBC

3. Maintain confidence and proficiency while on platform speaking, singing, and playing

4. Possess passion for worship and a desire to lead others spiritually

12. Establish and foster exemplary relationships with church family in God-focused worship times through music and scripture using Biblically based traditional hymns and modern worship songs that direct praise toward God, encourage the saints, are age-appropriate and winsome

13. Possess resume and portfolio demonstrating technical skill with computers and software/platforms for worship

14. Communicate consistently to all volunteers, modeling and encouraging the church's core values, operating agreements, and ministry philosophies

15. Coordinate programming between the Worship Ministry and all other Pleasant Hill Ministries

16. Recruit, manage, train, and retain leaders and volunteers to fulfill ministry goals

17. Other duties as assigned

Staff Liaising: The Minister of Worship serves as a liaison for music, worship, and media related matters, including:

1. Senior Pastor: Collaborating on worship service planning and execution.

2. Other Ministry Leaders: Coordinating programming between Worship Ministry and other church ministries.

3. Volunteer Teams: Building and coordinating teams of volunteer musicians and media/tech people.

Membership Engagement: Supporting efforts to manage and analyze membership data and interactions
