We are a church in love with the grace of Jesus Christ. Knowing we are not only saved by Christ alone through faith alone, but that we live by the life of Christ in us, we would not accept a works-based style of preaching. As a family of individuals who have found forgiveness in Jesus, we want as many people as possible to experience that same freedom. Our pastor should serve as a shepherd leading the saved into understanding their identity in Christ as a New Covenant believer. The role of shepherd includes giving guidance and taking an active role in discipleship and the growth of new Christians.
We currently average about 445 in Sunday School, and have both traditional and contemporary Sunday morning services. We desire a pastor who has a heart for developing a vibrant college and young adult ministry, which has been an ongoing challenge. He should feel called to inspire and empower members of all ages, and have the unique ability to utilize their strengths to bridge the gap between generations.
We seek a man who will rely on the Spirit of Christ within him for strength, wisdom, and humility to lead the church body, working in harmony with staff, deacons, and volunteers, while at the same time seeing them from God’s perspective as a caring shepherd. He should inspire and equip them to know and use their spiritual gifts, and lead them to engage in meaningful ministry and mission activities.
We desire a pastor who will joyfully decide to become a part of our family. To find out more about Colonial Hills visit us at https://colonialhills.com.
We will be accepting resumes for our Senior Pastor position through June 30, 2020. If the Holy Spirit leads you to serve here, please submit your resume to email@example.com. For questions about this process please contact Carolyn Sunde at firstname.lastname@example.org.
