3-6-24 Tyland Baptist Church has been in existence since August 1962. Currently, the active membership is approximately 40. The church is prayerfully seeking a bi-vocational pastor who is called by God and is equipped to effectively preach and teach the Word of God. The candidate must be able to fulfill the spiritual needs of the congregation through visitation, prayer, conducting weddings, funerals and administering the ordinances of the church. The candidate must possess the biblical and spiritual qualities as outlined in 1Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Pastor Qualifications:
· Be a licensed and ordained minister in the Baptist faith.
· Be a visionary with sound judgment and discernment.
· Preferred - have a minimum of five years of pastoral experience.
· Preferred - have attended seminary, divinity school or Bible college.
· Possess effective communication skills (written and oral).
· Growth-oriented and pastoral care capabilities.

· Demonstrate ability to work effectively with a congregation across all ages and genders.

Program Supervision ● Interview and hire teachers, assistants, and substitutes and evaluate regularly ● Supervise teachers and assistants in carrying out the daily program, evaluating and informing other programs as needed of job performance ● Observe and develop personnel policies in conjunction with the Preschool Minister and Executive NextGen Director. ● Coordinate a flourishing and active partnership with the overarching Kids Ministry. ● Schedule regular staff meetings for planning, friendship, and evaluation of the program ● Coordinate annual staff training seminar for teachers, assistants, and substitutes ● Plan for health and safety keeping, health records on all children enrolled, and scheduling activities to teach safety to the staff and children Accountability: The Hand-in-Hand Preschool Director will report directly to the Preschool Minister. Job Description: The Ministry Intern for Music & Children (MIMC) will work closely with the Children's Director and Minister of Music in a support capacity to help ensure both ministries are running efficiently. The MIMC will split their time between both ministries, primarily assisting with programming needs for the Calvary Kids Ministry and focusing on Sound system and AV support for the Music Ministry. There will also be an opportunity to assist with other church Ministry needs as they arise. The MIMC will be required to attend weekly staff meetings to align with other Calvary Staff on tasks and priorities. The MIMC will report directly to the Senior Pastor.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Calvary Kids Ministry (ages ~2-12) Children's Ministry Director to engage children at all times actively. Lead age-appropriate children’s activities. Accurately present the gospel and facilitate discussion as needed. Positively help manage the behavior of students. Support the Calvary Music Ministry as the primary Sound/AV technician for Wednesday evening rehearsals, Sunday morning rehearsals, Sunday morning church service, and other special events as needed.
Other duties as assigned related to the mission and ministry of Calvary Baptist Church Requirements. Must be a baptized believer in Jesus Christ. Must have an active relationship with Jesus Christ. Must enjoy working with children. Must complete a background check. Prior knowledge about music and sound systems a plus.

Purpose:
To lead and teach the people of Faith Baptist Church the importance and value of worship so they can more completely and effectively worship God. He is to assist the church in bringing glory to God through music, both vocal and instrumental. The goal is to identify and develop the resources within the congregation, help the membership to minister to each other as well as to persons outside our membership.
Qualifications:
§ Biblically based and spirit-filled Christian who exhibits a passion for God and a Christ-like spirit. These qualities will be evidenced in his personal life, his family relationships, and his ministry. He nurtures his inner self through a disciplined life of daily fellowship with God in prayer and Bible study.
§ Definite call to the ministry of music.

Lead Worshipper Responsibilities:
§ Direct and coordinate the planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating of a comprehensive Music Ministry.
§ Be responsible for the music for Vacation Bible School, if available.
§ Supervise the work of volunteer workers involved in Sunday morning music programs.
§ With assistance from the Music Committee, coordinate the Music Ministry Program with the church organizational calendar and the emphases of the church, including revivals and other special events, if available.
§ Plan all services of worship with the Pastor.
§ In consultation with the accompanists, select appropriate introductory music for each service.
§ Lead the congregation into worship through the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.
§ Facilitate smooth transitions from each element of worship to the next.
§ Produce a printed order of worship for weekly worship guide.
§ Arrange and provide music for weddings, funerals, revivals, conferences, and other church-related activities upon request, if available.
§ Supervise the maintenance of music instruments and music library literature, supplies and other equipment.
§ Supervise the procurement and maintenance of necessary sound and lighting equipment and the committees responsible for their operation.
§ Keep informed on music methods, materials, promotion, and administration.
§ In conjunction with the Music Committee and Pastor, prepare and submit an annual music budget for approval; administer the approved budget.
§ Cooperate with community, associational, and state leaders in promoting activities of mutual interest.
§ Assist with the pastoral care of members and visitors of the church in counseling and visitation, when available.
